4 Easy Ways to Make Salmon

Published 4 months ago • 1 min read

It's the 12th of the year and I am just starting to hit my groove. I am feeling excited, energized and ready for everything that 2024 will bring.

I am working in a new workspace outside of my home with a new team member who will be helping me there 1-2 days a week. These things are so exciting, but they scare me a little. They push me outside the comfy zone I've been working in for almost 4 years now.

My hope is that the end result is more and better content for all of you. For now I am reminding myself that anything worth doing is always a little hard and uncomfortable at some points.

Amy and I are leaning hard into easy, healthy weeknight meals to start the year off right and all of the salmon recipes featured below are perfect for that!

I hope your year is starting better than you could have imagined and even if its not, find hope in the thought that its just begun.

Four Skillet Salmon Dishes Ready in Under 30 Minutes

I love salmon - it is healthy, tasty, and so versatile. There are so many different ways you can cook it and all of them come together pretty quickly. Check out a few of my favorites below.

Chile Lime Poached Salmon

Make chili lime salmon poached in a delicious spicy coconut milk broth.

Blackened Salmon

These salmon fillets crusted in a homemade blackening seasoning come out so moist and flavorful.

Teriyaki Salmon And Broccoli Slaw

Glaze salmon in a flavorful teriyaki sauce and then pair with a creamy broccoli slaw.

Honey Glazed Salmon

This sweet and tangy honey sauce will have you going back for seconds.

Don’t just take my word for it! This is what one of my readers had to say about the Teriyaki Salmon And Broccoli Slaw

This was amazing!!! The marinade coated the salmon so nicely so the edges were a bit crisped up. The slaw is so refreshing and adds zest to the meal!

Currently...

  • Prioritizing - Planning. I am laying the groundwork for the rest of the year to run smoothly. Sometimes this feels like wasted time, but I know in a few months I will be so thankful.
  • Listening to - Did you know there are tons of audiobooks for free on Spotify Premium. This week I listened to Matthew Perry's memoir and I am almost done. It is heartbreaking that someone who brought so much joy to others had so many personal demons.
  • Watching - We are in the middle of Fool Me Once on Netflix and I love the twists and turns. Amy is really good at guessing the end of shows and she hasn't figured this one out yet!!

The week between Christmas and New Years might seem like a blur of carbs and cheese, naps and movies, making messes and repeatedly cleaning them up (nothing new if you have kids), but its also one of my favorite weeks of the year. It's a chance to reflect on the year that is coming to a close and make plans for the new one. I'm using the best of what I have learned in 2023 to make big goals for 2024. This is a list of the most loved recipes published in 2023. Maybe you will have time to cook...

Graphic of cozy gift ideas

In my opinion, most gift guides are not that helpful. This includes ones that I have shared in the past 😬 This year I am doing things a little differently. I am only including items that I already own and love. Think of this as a list of our favorite things. instead of a typical gift guide. I have separated my favorites into 4 topics: Cozy, Cooking, Practical and Mad's Favorite Things. Honestly the practical section includes some of my most used items and almost all of them were gifts -...

Above view of thanksgiving dinner

Thanksgiving is just a little over one week away. Can you believe it? This is my first year hosting and making the whole meal. I would be more nervous, but luckily it will just be for 4 adults and a baby so it feels more manageable. I am sharing my preparation timeline over on Instagram so be sure to follow me there! We haven't finalized our menu, but so far we have agreed on turkey, gravy (lots says Amy), mashed potatoes, stuffing, maple glazed carrots, creamed corn, maple bacon brussels...
